DUNCAN GRINNELL-MILNE The author began his wartime career flying two-seaters with RFC No. 16 squadron. In December 1915 he was forced down behind enemy lines and taken prisoner. In early 1918 he escaped back to England and after a brief retraining period was posted back to France with No. 56 Squadron. During his time with this squadron, Grinnell-Milne destroyed dive enemy planes and after the armistace went on to command No. 56. |
