Ernst Udet (1896-1941) Born in Frankfurt am Main, Udet was Germany's second highest scoring ace of the war, credited with 62 victories. In the postwar years Udet worked as an explorer, photographer, aircraft designer and stunt pilot. During the Second World War Udet rose to the rank of General of Fighter Development before commiting suicide in 1941. |
