Maybach Built For Speed
The illustrious German motoring organization Maybach Motorenbau GmbH was founded in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach. A man with drive, Wilhelm turned into the protégé of Gottlieb Daimler (a German automotive inventor and engine expert), with whom he designed a friendship and organization alliance. The friendship formulated way before the agency was founded.
In 1909, aircraft producer Graf Zeppelin ( also known as Count Zeppelin) and Maybach proven "Luftfahrzeug Motorenbau GmbH" in Bissingen. The organization was renamed Motorenbau Friedrichshafen. The Maybacks acquired 40 % share in the firm, which was at some point renamed Maybach Motorenbau GmbH. Type Zeppelin DS8 was powered with a 7L V12, with 200 brake horse power and had a top speed of 93 miles per hour. There was also the SW 38, a smaller Maybach which had a spectacular design.
Maybach vehicles which cruised the boulevards of New York, Monte Carlo, and Berlin were one of the most striking vehicles developed.
